Halloween Tag Swap

Image
Hello and welcome to my very first blog post! I'm very excited to share a Halloween tag I just made for a swap in a group I'm in on facebook. It had to be 8 1/2" X 4 1/4" so I cut mine from heavy 130# watercolor paper. I punched a hole in the top of the tag with my Cropadile Big Bite. Then I sprayed my Dylusions Ink Spray in Crushed Grape. The colors that come from this one tiny bottle are soooo yummy! I set the tag aside to dry and began working on a Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Glassine Pocket Envelope in Dark Kraft. It had a smooth almost waxy finish so I grabbed my Ranger/Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Inks in Slate, Eggplant, and the Metallic Mixative in Silver. I dropped a few drops of each then used a makeup pad to smooth and blend them together and cover the entire envelope. I love how it came out! After it dried, I ran it through my Sizzix with the Spellbinder M Bossabilities 3D embossing folder: Noble Rook. This raven is so fun! I then used some 7 Gypsies Steampunk

Get Inky Stamps: Design Team Guest

Image
Hello and Happy Tuesday all! Today I am posting as a Guest on the Design Team with Get Inky Stamps! You can see the post HERE . The challenge is FALL COLORS. I have a friend, Casey, who just recently graduated basic training in the Marines! We are so proud of him. This is a huge deal because Casey lost 90 lbs to get accepted and then another 15 lbs during training! Wow! I have posted a pic below of Casey and my friend Chad. Chad travelled to California with Casey's girlfriend to attend his graduation. For his card I chose to use Get Inky Stamps "Buzzing Bees" stamp set. This is such a fun and versatile set with over 50 stamps! I chose the sentiment "What's all the buzz about" because I felt it was fitting to the situation. We are all "buzzing" about Casey's amazing transformation and his accomplishment! Way to go Casey! The other supplies I used are: Stampin Up cardstock from my stash Stampin Up Ink Pad in Close to Cocoa DC
